Rosario Dawson adopts raw vegan diet for better health

Actor Rosario Dawson says she’s adopted a mostly raw vegan diet in the name of better mental and physical health, and self-care.

“I’m eating mostly raw and vegan right now so that’s giving me a really great baseline because that’s so consistent, so that’s really helping,” she told Daily Mail.

“I feel good, my body doesn’t feel so stressed out.”

Rosario — who also happens to be dating vegan US Senator Cory Booker — says that, with her busy lifestyle, diet remains one of the easier things to keep a handle on.

“If I could every day, I would get at least eight hours of sleep, and I would stay hydrated, and take a shower and have a bath with all of that stuff like essential oils… but I don’t get to do that,” she said.

“But if I can do a few of those things, I feel really, really great.”

Maybe she’s on to something. We’re talking following a donut with a green juice or doing a face mask at your desk on a busy workday, right? How much salad does it take to negate a three-hour sleep? Is having an oatmeal-caked face acceptable in a business meeting? What does one need to eat to actually become Rosario Dawson?

Okay that last one’s impossible, granted — but surely most of us can all fit in a little extra fruit and veg from time to time. Rosario does it, after all, so it’s cool now.
