Subway’s vegan patty goes nationwide in the UK

Quick-service chain Subway has officially rolled out its new vegan patty to the whole of the UK.

Now, even the fully plant-based can get a sandwich or salad with a hearty vegan filling — and leave steeped in that Subway smell that stays with you literally all day. Ya’ll know what we’re talking about.

In addition to a plant-based patty, made with ingredients like chilli, garlic and onion, the chain will now offer a vegan aioli. Since Subway allows customers to fully customize their orders, the new plant-based options can be used in a sandwich, salad or one of their wraps which, according to PETA, are one of the vegan bread options.

The roll-out is effective today, so the UK residents among us can rest easy knowing they could be smelling like rising bread and red onion by bedtime. Note that if your partner has a problem with that, it might be time for a new one.
