Starbucks UK to launch vegan whipped cream

According to reports, the coffee chain Starbucks will be adding vegan whipped cream to its menus in the UK later this year.

From October, plant-based coffee lovers will be able to get their hands on the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte, complete with dairy-free whipped cream.

The Pumpkin Pie Syrup was made free from dairy in 2018, so vegans have been able to get the popular seasonal drink made with either soy, oat, or almond milk since then.

Whilst Starbucks has offered a range of plant-based milk alternatives for a while, this will be the first time a vegan whipped cream has been brought to UK stores.

The online organisation Vegan Food UK broke the news, stating: “October will see the launch of vegan whipped cream at Starbucks U.K.

 “Finally’, we hear you say. But let’s hope it stays, because we need vegan whipped cream atop lattes and hot chocolates.”

 Many of the Starbucks syrups are dairy-free in the UK, meaning the addition of whipped cream would make for some tasty new drink creations.
