Sprinter Elijah Hall credits his improved health and training to becoming vegan

The track and field athlete, who is the 200m indoor American record holder, has praised veganism for the ‘amazing’ effects it is having on his body.

In addition to breaking several records with his speed and agility, Hall is currently training for the Tokyo Olympic Games, which have been moved to 2021 ahead of the coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to Instagram Hall told his 19,300 followers that: ‘changing my diet was the best decision I could have made. The decision to become vegan was very challenging and I made this change about 3 months ago. The effects that it’s having on my body is amazing’

In the post, he shows the physical changes in his body whilst also claiming that his health and athletic performance has improved.

In the caption, he wrote: ‘Becoming a plant-based athlete has open many doors to my health and my training. We On A Mission.’

He also reposted an Instagram Story from The Game Changers movie, a film which documents the rise of professional athletes which are ditching animal products in favour of plant-based alternatives.
