Miley Cyrus’s Hannah Montana costumes go to auction to benefit animals

Costumes from Disney series Hannah Montana, which featured superstar Miley Cyrus, are going to auction this month, with proceeds set to benefit an animal charity.

The selection includes items worn during Miley’s Best of Both World’s tour, like her black satin jacket, pink tank top and customized high-top sneakers. There will also be notes handwritten by Miley, and a number of personal wardrobe items. You know, the kind of stuff that will be perfect for that shrine you’re building  — or whatever. We don’t care what you do with it. The money’s going to a good cause.

The cause in question is Wilder Minds, a charity for at-risk animals around the world, and the perfect excuse to buy that thing you probably don’t need, but are still dying to have.

Those seeking to get in on the one-off event can find it at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York on May 18. Do bear in mind, though, that Miley will not likely be standing around sniffing cash at the event. That’s just for Instagram.
