Iceland launches bargain vegan chocolate lava cake

UK retailer Iceland is set to debut a lava-cake type dessert, formally called Vegan No Moo Melt in the Middle Puddings, later this month.

The new release was announced in a post on the chain’s Instagram page.

“Yep, it’s true… our Vegan No Moo Melt in the Middle Puddings are available in stores and online from the 8th April,” it read.

“We promise they’re UNBELIEVABLE and 100% worth the wait.”

Fortunately, chocolate-loving consumers will only have to wait three days.

“That’s great,” you might say.

“But I’m drowning in student and/or oat milk latte debt and can’t afford vegan specialty products.”

Well, you’ll be pleased to know firstly, that you aren’t alone and, more importantly, that these puppies are priced at just £2.00 per pack of two puddings. Or cakes. Whatever you want to call them.

Perhaps that’s a debate that’ll keep you busy until the new product comes out.

As well as the UK, Iceland has stores in Ireland, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, The Bahamas, Malta, The Channel Islands and, of course, Iceland! Check your local store for availability.

Update: According to Iceland, the Vegan No Moo Melt in the Middle Puddings are palm-oil free.
