BuzzFeed pranks dairy cheese lovers with vegan cheeses
A video released by social-media giant BuzzFeed yesterday put vegan cheese to the test, and the results may surprise you.
The video featured six self-proclaimed cheese lovers trying a number of cheeses which, unbeknownst to them, were actually vegan.
Initial responses included words like “wow”, “fantastic”, “happy” and “herbaceous” — the last of which should surely earn the speaker some extra credit. What a word drop.
“Oooh, this smells really good,” said one participant.
Another asked: “What if this is not real cheese, dude? I’d be shocked. This has to be.”
And shocked he was.
“All these cheeses are vegan,” said a voice behind the camera. “So you’re not gonna pay for this later.”
Nobody immediately threw up. In fact, all six participants reacted positively.
“I’m impressed,” said one of the taste testers.
“‘Cause I was gonna say I could never go vegan because I love cheese so much and I can’t survive without cheese, but this — I would never have guessed that it was vegan cheese.”
Well, there’s that problem solved.
