Beyond Meat option to hit Del Taco menus nationwide

US fast-food giant Del Taco has announced that, in the coming weeks, its coveted Beyond Meat-filled taco will be rolled out to all of its locations nationwide.

The chain offers two varieties of taco featuring Beyond Meat Crumbles — the Beyond Taco, which is vegan when ordered without cheese, and the Beyond Avocado Taco, which is vegan just as it comes.

Both were put to the test from September of last year and have been available at five locations across Los Angeles, San Bernardino and both the Orange and San Diego counties, since then. Apparently, the results showed promise for the partnership.

“The consumer opportunity is immense and exciting,” said president and CEO John D Cappasola, speaking to Press-Telegram.

“There is no one else doing it in our category at the price point we plan to offer.”

The tacos are priced at $2.49, perfect for those of us who tend to blow the bank on big nights out — just wash it down with a glass of water, would ya? And let’s try a piece of fruit from time to time, shall we?
