Vegan chefs to compete in tofu-themed competition this week in Montreal
Five vegan chefs will go head-to-head in a tofu-themed cooking competition this Thursday in Montreal.
Officially called Tofu D’or, or Golden Tofu, the event is designed to pay tribute to that flavorless, white spongy block we all seem to grow to love, despite our initial protest. Sorry, but when an ingredient loans itself as well to chocolate mousse as it does to stir-fry, resistance is futile.

With limited tickets available, attendees can vote on the best of the five plant-based chefs set to compete, including MJ Guertin, Simon Meloche Goulet, Sylvain Karpinski, Chloé Ostiguy and Mickaël Berthelier.
Tickets to attend the event, which is hosted by the Association Végétarienne de Montréal, start at $45, plus taxes and fees. You can find your’s here.
