Select Los Angeles theaters now offering vegan nuggets
Select Los Angeles movie theatres, partnered with Fry Family Food Co., will now be offering a vegan alternative to chicken nuggets.
The new option has been rolled out by the Laemmle chain, but is currently only available at the Monica Film Center and Glendale locations. That said, Los Angeles Daily News reports that it will soon arrive at the NoHo 7 location in North Hollywood, as well.

The nuggets, which are made using ingredients such as rice protein and chia, also happen to be non-GMO and gluten free — which, just to be clear, has nothing to do with veganism. Consider this a PSA. It does, however, render the product suitable for an even wider selection of consumers.
Granted, these nuggets seem to have a pretty substantial fanbase as is, with one Twitter user writing, “basically my weekly shop anyway” on a photo of 10 boxes of the product, before adding the hashtag #NUGGETLIFE.
Well, that’s pretty #RELATABLE. Who says vegans have to be healthy, anyway?
